Are you worried about your life as get older, and what the future will hold for you?

Can you see that there are a lot of areas of your life where more order would make a difference?

Are you worried that if it’s not done now there will be increasingly negative consequences for yourself and your loved ones and carers?

Can you see that if things are not resolved and tidied up – YOU will feel guilty and burdened?

You want a simple structure to follow that helps you to manage the different areas of life simply, easily and with guidance.

You want to be supported as you sort through various aspects of your past with like-minded people.

You don’t know how to bring up and discuss difficult conversations with your loved ones without causing lots of upset on all sides.

You want to stop your family from worrying about you?

Well you are in THE RIGHT PLACE!

Why bother to do anything?

Getting all aspects of your life sorted from confusion, chaos and confusion to order, direction and completion brings peace of mind – right now – and this continues for the rest of your life! It also provides much more ENERGY to use how YOU want to because leaving things as they are is draining you of your life force and energy and joy! That’s a BIG negative – can you see this for yourself?

It gets worse – because you KNOW that you have a finite period of time left in which to enjoy life, get the juice from it!

But, until now, there was no one structure to help a senior to do this! Leaving things until “tomorrow”, procrastinating or simply getting so overwhelmed by the enormity of the task means that it doesn’t get done – it leaves that energy unresolved / hanging!. Or – you skirt around the periphery getting things organised (eg your clothes) but the BIG QUESTIONS remain… Feels familiar?

It’s frustrating, tiring and upsetting, isn’t it? You can spend so much time “thinking about” X,Y and Z that the day has gone. And, let’s face it – it is SO much EASIER to do many of these tasks with someone else to help, guide, encourage and inspire you!

Allowing others to help and support you is one of the biggest gifts you can give yourself – and others! For a proud generation this can come hard. The added benefit of taking part in the course is that in helping you – they also gain – from your presence, experience, stories from the past and knowing that they need not be so concerned about you! You get better related to the people who you love and who care and love you too.

As time passes it is likely that you will become far less able to look after yourself and your belongings, make your own decisions and enjoy your life as you would wish. This is distressing. Time keeps passing by and opportunities may be reduced.

You can see that taking action as soon as possible is essential. (But where to start..??)

You know what you are most concerned about in your life. It could be your children, money, the upkeep and management of your home, your health etc You know that managing all this accumulated stuff from a lifetime takes time and energy. Some may not even be of any use to you or enrich your life anymore! You just don’t necessarily know how or even how to go about this.

You can also see that if nothing is done – some or all of this “work” may be left incomplete and you are STILL worrying about it!

In my family, my Mum had been on a mission for the last 10 years (!!!) or so before she died to sort through her possessions and life so that many aspects were less cluttered, the legal and financial aspects were organised and her relationships were strengthened etc  – it was in her own interests to achieve this aim – as a result she felt much freer to choose what she wanted for herself. Plus it took away much of the worry and concern from the rest of the family too. Much of this we didn’t even know about was going on in the background!

Knowing that she would have everything organised gave her peace of mind and a sense of freedom. It enabled better relationships to develop outside of the “How are you Mum?”; “Can you take me to the shops?”. Without these huge areas of concern being in the way of enjoying spending time with her – we could just get on with enjoying our time together. This is such a gift!

Completing the various elements and modules of the course brings everyone relatedness, peace of mind and freedom to create a future which is not hindered by their past.

Why should you consider doing the course yourself

You probably don’t consider that you are old enough to do this course. This “conversation” is the same for many people – and it isn’t related to a specific age either! 70year olds think this just as much as 20 year olds and 50year olds. So you are in good company.

But – consider this: accidents, acute life threatening illnesses and more DO happen. No-one is immune to this risk.

Why not take part in this course proactively? Change the probable almost certain future – create a new vision for your life?

  • You could do this at the same time as the senior who is also doing this – as a way of supporting each other.
  • You want to get things organised early, so that things only need to be updated as time goes on,
  • You want to protect and provide for your family before you are forced into action – or so overwhelmed that you don’t start.

Why not take part in this course proactively?

  • You could do this at the same time as a designated member of the family (for a small extra fee) – as a way of supporting each other.

The reason behind Great Guidelines for Later Life

Let me turn this on its head a bit! How is it for your family or friends..?

Being able to help your loved one and care for them, support them and enjoy your relationship with them can be a double-edged sword for many family members and friends of the senior. As time passes they may become far less able to look after themselves, make their own decisions and enjoy their lives as they, and you, would wish. This is upsetting. Time keeps passing by and opportunities may be reduced.

You can see as a friend that taking action as soon as possible is essential.

You can see the concerns that the senior may have about their lives and the accumulated stuff of life which they would like to get complete and tidy – and you want to help them to do this. You just don’t necessarily know how or even how to go about this.

You can also see that if nothing is done – some or all of this “work” may end up landing in YOUR lap!

For myself I could see that as I was likely to be having to sort my Mums possessions and life if she died before this was complete  – it was in my interests to help her achieve this aim. Plus it would take away much worry and concern and overwhelm from my mother too, Plus knowing that she would have everything organised would give me peace of mind and enable a better relationship without these huge areas of concern being in the way of enjoying spending time with her.

Completing the various elements and modules of the course brings everyone relatedness, peace of mind and freedom to create a future which  is not hindered by their past.

Now – from your point of view, as the Senior – I know that many retirees DO NOT WANT to burden their families with their stuff – just because they don’t know what to about it or can’t be bothered. That overriding thought is still there. You came into this world with nothing – a lot of time and experiences has passed by – but ultimately you leave with just your body (Oh! and the amassed legacy of a life). This can weigh on you, a lot.

How about you get some help to clear these concerns and issues and physical collections before you die? I know that talking with my clients that this is the ideal that they want to attain. It IS possible – but they recognise that help is needed.

THIS is why Great Guidelines was set up

to help you reach peace of mind and serenity

– without any of the noise from your inner voice berating you for not doing “so-and-so”.

Please – join the other travellers through time and enrol on the Great Guidelines course now. The programme will be starting in a few months – so express your interest here:
